Title contenders KCB blew up the chance to close the gap on leaders Tusker by throwing away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 in an FKF Premier League tie at the Thika Municipal Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Former Wazito man Derrick Otanga, who is enjoying a form of a lifetime, bagged a seven-minute brace in the opening half to give the bankers a 2-0 lead going into the break but Tusker charged back in the second half through Jackson Macharia and substitute Henry Mieno who was named the man of the match.

Tusker lead standings with 51 points from 24 games with KCB in second with 47 points in 23 outings.

In an earlier match at the same venue, Bidco United played to a barren draw at home to Sofapaka.
