Gor Mahia climbed up to fourth on the FKF Premier League table following their 1-0 away win against Wazito FC at Utalii grounds Monday afternoon.

 

Gor’s solitary goal came in the 82nd minute of the through Jules Ulimwengu.

Wazito were the first to make an attack in the eight-minute  when Boniface Omondi made a good delivery into the area, but the ball went wide.

The defending champions made were the better side in the match with continued sniff around Wazito  but were made to toil for the winner.

Ko’galo attacks rose high but could not score. Andrew  Juma missed the target from close range after another defensive mistake from the hosts.

The former champions’ persistence eventually paid off in the 82nd minute after Sammy Onyango found Ulimwengu with a good through ball heading them top the score sheet.

Gor  were reduced to 10 men late on after a second yellow card was given to Onyango. The dent came too late as there was no time for Wazito to capitalize.
