Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is set to watch the game from the sidelines for the remaining part of the season after the the hamstring injury he sustained seemed to worsen.
The French international has been out of his exploits since November in line to the injury but auxiliary testing disclosed that the verdict was shoddier than first thought of and his 2019-20 season seems to be over.
The Spanish outfits spelled out that Dembele has a complete proximal hamstring tear in his right thigh’ and they were to launch a rehabilitation programme in a feat to counter the peril.
22-year-old injury comes as a blow to Barcelona’s Boss Quique Setién considering that forward Luis Suarez is already out for a lengthy period as he gets ready to endure a knee surgery.
This leaves Setien’s squad with less depth only remaining with six-time ballon do’r winner Lioniel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and starlet Ansu Fati.
Until now, Dembele has charged only nine games for the Culés, netting a goal in a 4-0 win against Sevilla where he and his teammate Ronald Araújo earned a red card.
