AFC Leopards head coach has for another time called on AFC Leopards to get behind their team, as the club labours to have a good season, despite the off-filed issues that have bedeviled them.

Taking to Twitter after their 1-1 draw at home to Sofapaka at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, the Belgain could not understand why the club’s fanbase could not fill the stadium to the brim yet the lads were always putting in a good show.

According to Aussems, one loss in 15 games and an unbeaten run of eight games with a makeshift squad after a mass exodus from the den coupled by a transfer ban is reason enough for the fans to be proud of the 1998 champions as they endeavour to bring back good times to the den.

“Unbeaten in eight games, one loss in our last 15 games with this so fragile, un-experimented but promising team facing big problems every day and some people would have something to say. Ingwe’s fans, be proud of your team! Let’s be together,” the Belgian said on his Twitter handle.

The former Simba SC head coach last week expressed his desire to see AFC Leopards reclaim its status as a formidable force in the continent but questioned the commitment of the club’s management.

“Layers are right, they are amazing! The National Executive Committee members do not respect their commitments, only words and promises. I want AFC to reach a higher level in Africa but can we do it? It’s up to you guys but we need trustable people!” he said.

The 13-time champions who have won six, drawn ten and lost six of the 22 games they have played this season are 11th on the FKF Premier League log with 28 points, same as Kenya Police FC who occupy 10th place due to a superior goal difference.

The league heads into a two-week break and when it returns on April 2, the two teams will clash again, but this time Police FC will be the hosts.
