Leads United Managing Director Angus Kinnear has called on the English Premier League and the EFL stakeholders to make sure the two leagues play to conclusion of the season terming it as “vital” in maintaining the integrity of the two leagues.

Leads are currently heading the championship chart with 71 points having played a total of 37 matches. The league was nine games away to conclusion.

Consequently, officials from all 20 Premier League clubs are set to hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to establish plans for the remainder of the 2019/2020 EPL season.

EPL is among the top tier leagues that were called off due to the covid-19 menace witnessed across the globe. With several countries under lock down, Serrie A teams are considering calling off the season as well as the Spanish Laliga.

Liverpool who are leading the EPL table with 29 points are fronting the idea of them being awarded the trophy having played 29 games which is 75% of the gemes required for the team to be crowned champions as stipulated by the FA laws governing the EPL.

The side is facing a contradictory opinion from relegation bound teams like Westham and Norwich City who want the season scrapped off to pave way for a new season come August.

According to Sky Sports reports, one senior source at a Premier League club said there is a 75 per cent chance this campaign will not be completed.
