The round 16 of FKF Betway Cup will see the Kenya Premier League sides battle out to the cup finals after seeing off the lower tier sides.

Kenya Premier League serial winners Gor Mahia Staged a comeback to outshine local side Naivas FC 3-2 to book a place in the round 16 of FKF Betway cup.

Gor found themselves trailing 2-1 during the break in a match played today at Kasarani MISC. Two second half goals by Lawrence Juma and Boniface Omondi secured a win for Gor Mahia setting a date with KPL compatriots Posta Rangers in the round of 16.

Elsewhere in Kitale, a lone goal from Elvis Rupia, AFC Leopards new signing, was enough to shut stubborn Ellim FC.

Resilience Luanda Villa fought tooth and nail grabbing a 1-1 draw against KDF side Ulinzi FC in another mouth watering clash. The soldier showed no sign of sundering to the lower tier side edging them 8-9 on post-match penalties.

KCB also had to wait for penalty fate to shade out Zoo Youth. The Bankers managed a 1-1 draw during the normal time but showed their muscles during shoot out to beat them 3-4.

FKF Betway Cup presented entertainment to local Football fans as the lower teams showed they could be a thorn in the flesh of KPL teams.
In other results, Kariobangi Sharks beat Kenpoly FC 2-0, while Sofapaka won on penalties after managing a barren draw against Balaji EPZ at Camp Toyoyo.
