Former national men’s rugby 7s team Shujaa head coach Benjamin Ayimba has died, the family has confirmed.
Ayimba passed on Friday evening at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he has been receiving treatment for cerebral malaria.

Ayimba who died aged 44 is remembered for leading Kenya to a first ever Sevens World Series tournament win as we beat Fiji 30-7 in the Singapore 7s final in 2016.
A former Kenya 7s and 15s captain, the rugby legend was first appointed Shujaa head coach in 2006 and sacked in 2011.

He made a comeback in 2015 and pulled off the famous win in Singapore a year later.
