KCB has dislodged Tusker from the FKF Premier League driving seat after an emphatic 3-0 win over Bandari FC at Utalii Grounds in Nairobi.

The bankers took the lead 15 minutes into the game, Vincent Simiyu calmly tapping past Bandari Keeper Justin Ndikumana from a Reagan Otieno cross.

On the 27th minute, Brian Odera got into the referee’s book for a dangerous tackle and Harun Thomas was at the end of the resultant free kick to tap in from close range and secure KCB’s two-goal cushion headed into the break.

The second half was not any better for the Dockers, as KCB head coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno pushed for more goals, making key substitutions that paid off as Derrick Otanga took the game beyond Bandari’s reach in the 83rd minute, 15 minutes after replacing Henry Onyango.

Andre Casa Mbungo suffered his biggest loss since taking over Bandari head coach in January.

KCB have risen to the summit of the FKFPL standings on 36 points after 17 matches, dislodging Tusker (35 points) who drew 1-1 at home to Wazito on Friday.

Bandari remain 5th on 27 points from 17 matches.
