Italian champions Juventus have confirmed their midfielder Blaisie Matuidi has tested positive for COVID-19 virus.
Matuidi is the second Bianconer player following the diagnosis of teammate Daniel Rugani early this month.
“Blaise has undergone medical tests that have come back positive for Coronavirus and he if be undertaking self isolation” read the club statement.
Italy is considered the most hard hit nation by Coronavirus with the country experiencing a total lockdown.
Italian Serie A was the first European league to start postponing matches following reports of the virus in the country.
Rugani has since been isolating and under monitoring as he is recovering gaining stable condition.
