Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez revealed that his ‘phone calling’ signature celebration was not meant to troll Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman.

Luis Suarez scored the second goal of the match in a match that saw Barcelona fall home to La Liga defending champions Atletico Madrid.

The goal which came in the first half at the 44th minute, saw Suarez gesture a phone calling signal as away of celebrating.

“The gesture was meant to remind everyone that my number is still the same” Suarez told the press during post match interview.

The celebration caught the eyes of curious fans who remembered the episodes that late to Suarez move away from Barcelona.

It was reported that upon taking the wheel at Nou Camp , Koeman informed Suarez via a phone call that he was not in his plans at the club hence a reason for his move.

“When Barcelona told me that they did not count on me it was hard, I did not expect it,” Suarez told El Transistor in February

The Uruguayan striker said it was not in the best way that the decision was made to ship him out hence a difficult time if his career.
