AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has warned that he will not be taking anything less than a win in FKF Betway Cup final against arch-rivals Gor Mahia.

The Belgian knocked out Division One side Equity FC on post-match penalties after a barren draw in regulation time, to attract his first Mashemeji Derby.

“We are 90 minutes from the trophy but it will be happening after more than two weeks. I don’t have any pressure and neither are my players,” Aussems is quoted by Citizen Digital.

The July 4, 2021 meeting will be the first cup meeting between the two clubs without fans.

The former Simba boss taking to Twitter to express his optimism of fans return to the stadium before the crunch tie.

“…We are in the FKF Cup Final … Congrats to my players and my technical staff! Can’t wait to see Ingwe’s fans supporting us! See you on July 4th…”

Ingwe have had a good Cup campaign knocking out Taita Taveta FC, Posta Rangers, Bungoma Superstars, Tusker, Equity FC and hope to win the cup to seal a return to the CAF Confederations Cup for the first time since 2017.

Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards last faced off on February 10 in a barren league draw at Kasarani which was Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani’s last assignment at the den as Aussems watched from the stands.
