Gor Mahia made it six wins in six matches since the resumption of the FKF Premier League in May, with a late 1-0 win over a stubborn Sofapaka side at Thika Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
On the back of a 1-0 win against Mathare United in midweek, K’Ogalo were determined to pick up maximum points yet again in one of Sunday’s triple header, but it was not a walk in the park.

The Kenyan record champions saw their attacks fizzle out for the greater part of the afternoon, Batoto Ba Mungu determined to secure at least a point, the game delicately balanced until the final quarter.
Burundi international Jules Ulimwengu was however the man of the afternoon, rising to the occasion to save the day by getting to the end of a Kenneth Muguna pass to break the deadlock in the 74th minute.
