Chelsea’s forward Olivier Giroud has been involved in five goals in his three league starts against the Bournemouth, scoring one and setting up four.

The Cherries will host the Blues at Vitality stadium for their Saturday’s premier league tie which marks the tenth time the two are locking horns.

None of the nine previous Premier League meetings between these sides have been ended on a stalemate. AFC Bournemouth have won four and Chelsea have won five, with Chelsea emerging victorious on six occasions.

The last 12 goals in meetings between these teams have come in the second half. Indeed, only two of AFC Bournemouth’s 11 Premier League goals against Chelsea have been scored before half-time, with the Cherries losing both times.

Only Manchester City have won more matches and kept more clean sheets against Chelsea than AFC Bournemouth’s four victories and four shutouts since they were promoted in 2015. The Cherries are looking to complete a league double over the Blues for the first time.
