The longest transfer saga of the new decade has finally come to the conclusion- Sporting Lisbon captain Bruno Fernandes is off to Manchester United.
United have finally confirmed a deal with Sporting to sign Bruno Fernandes, who has arrived in Manchester and is set to be unveiled on Thursday.

Sporting have revealed the full details of Fernandes’ £68m move – with United paying an initial fee of £46.6m upfront and a maximum of around £21m in add-ons depending on both the player’s and United’s displays during his time in Manchester.

The Lisbon outfit also revealed that they have inserted a 10% sell on clause if The Red Devils cash in on the midfielder in future.
Fernandes terminated his contract with Sporting at the head office on Wednesday afternoon and was filmed by Portuguese television channels arriving at the airport and boarding the plane.

The 25-year old recorded a goodbye message to Sporting fans before flying to Manchester for a medical.
