Bidco United on Sunday afternoon served heavy pre-match favourites AFC Leopards a beating of a kind, thrashing them 3-1 at the Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi.

The 1998 Kenyan Premier League champions went into the match with the top spot in sight after leaders KCB fell to a 1-0 loss at home to Sofapaka on Saturday, but Ingwe failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

AFC Leopards fell behind just 7 minutes into the game, as Alex Juma got to the end of a lousy backpass in the area to slot home for Anthony Akhulia’s charges.

Peter Nzuki was on target four minutes to the interval to double the lead for the top tier debutants.

Ingwe head coach Patrick Asseums was called into a change of personnel to salvage their fading CAF Champions League hopes, but that did not deter Bidco from extending their advantage as David Oremo squared home in the 68th minute much to the disbelief of the Belgian tactician.

Shaka Bienvenue got AFC Leopards consolation in the 81st minute from a Harrison Mwendwa delivery.
