Isaac Kipyegon has been appointed the new AFC Leopards captain, officially taking the armband from Robinson Kamura.
Ingwe head coach Patrick Aussems made the announcement of Thursday just a day after their 1-0 defeat to relegation candidates Mathare United at Ruaraka Grounds.
The left back joined the 1998 Kenyan Premier League on a three-year deal from Zoo Kericho in 2018 and ever since has lived up the expectations earning the trust of the Belgian tactician.

Kamura will be deputized by Elvis Rupiah and Benjamin Ochan.

The 11 times league champions had their eyes set on the KPL title this season but a string of poor results in recent weeks has seen them fall of the leading pack casting doubt on their title credentials.
Wednesday’s defeat away to the Slum Boys left them fourth on the FKF Premier League log with 37 points, one behind arch-rivals Gor Mahia and seven adrift leaders Tusker.
AFC Leopards are however in the FKF Betway Cup final, which they play K’Ogalo on July 4.
