Former Attorney General Amos Wako has taken issue with the American Government including his family in the ban against travelling to the United States of America.
Wako’s wife Flora Ngaira and his son Julius Wako were handed a similar ban for what the American authorities termed as the ex-AG’s involvement in several mega corruption scandals.
The Busia county senator wants his family exempted from his dealings.
“If I committed a crime, which I emphatically deny, I should be punished alone. My son is an adult who is successful in his own right,” he objected at the Media Center of Parliament.
Wako has however laughed out at the ban challenging the US government to make public his involvement in corruption scandals.
“Hii ni kitu kidogo sana. It will not affect my work as a senator or as a commissioner. I hope I will get headlines tomorrow, with my picture of smiling attorney general emeritus,” he dared.
The former AG was served a similar ban in 2009 which he says the then Barrack Obama leadership failed to justify.
