Bungoma senator Moses Masika Wetang’ula has urged the government to reveal the identities of Covid-19 patients so as to contain the pandemic Corona virus from spreading further in the country.
The Ford Kenya party leader said that the disclose of names of others who are affected will help the ministry of health to easily manage the disaster that has caused panic among Kenyans. In a statement on Wednesday March 18, Wetang’ula noted other countries across the globe such as Iran, Brazil and the UK were not concealing the identities of victims regardless of their positions in the society.
“Nothing that Corona virus is not adventure or misadventure disease as infection come inevitably from most unexpected association. I encourage the government not to conceal the identities of our compatriots who have been found to be Covid – 19 positive.” The former senate minority leader told reporters
Wentang’ula request comes a time when more cases of coronavirus continue being reported in the country as the government keeps mum on the issue of the affected individuals.
