Bungoma senator Moses Masika Wentang’ula has today been sent packing as the party leader for FORD Kenya party and replaced with Kanduyi Member of Parliament Wafula Wamunyinyi on interim.
The decision was arrived at after the party’s special National Executivetive Council (NEC) meeting. Led By Bungomba governor Wycliffe Wangamati and secretary general Eseli Simiyu, Wentang’ula was dismissed on grounds of gross misconduct.
The ouster which has been described by political bundits as a bloodless coup, happened two days after COTU secretary General Francis Atwoli hosted Western leaders at his Kajiado home in a move meant to bloster Mulembe unity politics.
Wentang’ula and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi were conspicuously absent in the meeting that saw the three western counties governor attend among other MPs.
The Bungomba senator has been on the receiving end of political tantrums having recently been kicked out of Senate minority seat in the senate.
