Uganda has confirmed two new cases of covid-19 taking the country’s totals to 81.

The country tested a total of 2002 samples on Wednesday- 229 from the community and those in quarantine while 1703 samples were obtained from truck drivers at border points of entry who all tested negative for coronavirus.

The two positive cases are from the 299 samples tested among the community and individuals under quarantine.

The first cases is a 24-year old Ugandan man while the second is 21-year old Burundian refugee.

They are under quarantine at Rakai hospital as they are contacts to a confirmed Burundian refugee case.
