Douglas Nyaoko, father to the quintuplets born in Kisii last week has appealed for well wishers to help in raising their children.
Nyaoko, whose 5 children were delivered before due date lamented financial strain, calling for the government and other well wishers to chip
“We are financially challenged but God has blessed us with this number of children. I request the government and leaders to come to our aid so we can take care of the children.” Said Nyaoko.
Nyaoko’s wife, Sheila Nyanchera, gave birth to quintuplets at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital last week. One of the children, however, passed away on Sunday evening.
Confirming the demise, Nyaoko reported that plans were underway to lay their daughters body to rest at their home in Bobaracho, Nyaribari Chache.
Ms Nyanchera also lamented the loss of her daughter and claimed that only God knows why her baby had to leave too soon.
The children were born all weighing below 1.5kg and the doctors confirmed that they will remain at the facility until they attain a minimum of 2kgs.
Nyanchera, 25, is still recuperating in the hospital’s post natal ward. The facility also reported that the remaining 4 children are in good health.
The kisii County government has since waived all their medical bills for their stay in hospital.
