Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula is determined to halt any plans that will see Kenya Premier League (KPL) compatriots Gor Mahia crowned champions.

Shimanyula said incase the league is concluded prematurely, the two sides should go to play offs to determine who bags the KPL title.

Despite starting the 2019/2020 season on a low note, Gor bounced back and reclaimed the KPL chart and were on the verge of bagging a fourth consecutive title.

Having played 23 matches, K’ogalo tops the table with 54 points followed by the western based club with 47 points but fall short of one game.

The KPL faces premature ending following the government ban on public gatherings albeit Coronavirus threat in the country and across the globe.

KPL is already suspended for three rounds of matches after the deadly Covid-19 virus was reported in the country last Friday. FKF acting CEO Barry Otieno said they will be forced to end the league if the situation remains uncontained.
