The third wave of COVID-19 has dealt a huge blow in the health sector worldwide. Economic superpowers and third world countries have been equally affected with densely populated countries feeling most of the heat.

The heat of this wave has taken its toll on India and the AstraZeneca producing nation has put measures to contain its spread.

In the past 24 hours, the nation has recorded excess of 300 000 new covid-19 infections and over 2500 covid-19 related deaths.

Kenyan citizens in India are among those affected with the pandemic.

In light of this, the Kenyan high commission in India has instructed its citizens to register with the High Commission office in New Delhi for accountability and decision making purposes.

In a notice from the Kenyan High Commission seen by Kenyan Breaking KE Kenyans been further urged to form WhatsApp groups and inform the embassy for easy communication should need arise.


Among the details required by the embassy are official names, passport number, contacts, physical address of location in India and the reason for the visit.

As per the notice, this information should be forwarded to the embassy via the email address: visa@Kenyahicom-Delhi.com. The citizens can also reach the embassy through phone using the number +91 98731 11197.

“We urge all Kenyan citizens in India to take caution and observe the covid-19 containment measures as proposed by the World Health Organization.” Read part of the notice.
