Kenyan Volleyball Federation League champions General service Unit (GSU) will be hopping to get past Tunisian giants Esperance in today’s quarter-Finals of African Club Championship.
Despite losing their opening group match against Zamalek, the service men bounced back to outsmart Nigerian Customs and underdogs Espoir from Rwanda.
Their opponent on the other hand topped group A and have shown to be ruthless on their way up the quarters having slayed Rukinzo of Burundi 3-0 in what seemed to be a one sided match. The Tunisians slashed to Kenyan debutants KPA by same score line. The North Africans did not spare APR of Rwanda as their wrath saw the Kigali based volleys dragged to classification matches.
Debutants Kenya Ports Authority will have a tough hill to climb in the quarters as they seek to make to the semi-finals at the expense of Egyptian slayers Zamalek .
The maritime coastal based stars , under the stewardship of coach Sammy Mulinhe, won their two group matches and being KVL runners up, are not to be considered a pushovers and will have a point to showcase to their opponents.
