Eight news cases of those infected with coronavirus have been confirmed in Kenya, taking the tally to 50.
Making the anouncement on Monday, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe urged traavelers to stop travelling up country so as to reduce the spread of the infection.
Of the new cases, one is from Kitui, six from Nairobi and one from Mombasa.
Nairobi County leads in infections followed by Kilifi county and Mombasa.
Employers have been directed to release their employees latest 4PM so as to enable them beat the 7PM curfew time.
The government will also put in place new measures to tame boadaboda riders in an attempt to minimise the infection rate
Kenya has so far recorded one recovery and one death from the coronavirus.
