Uganda has confirmed 2 new cases of coronavirus taking its tally to 63.

According to a press release by the country’s Ministry of Health seen by Kenyan Breaking, the cases are both citizens of Tanzania.

The first case is 43-year-old Tanzanian truck driver who is a contact to a previously confirmed case and a 35-year-old Tanzanian truck driver who arrived from Tanzania at Mutukula border.

According to the Ministry of Health, arrangements are in order to evacuate the second case to Entebbe Grade B Hospital.

Seven patients were also discharged on Wednesday after testing negative twice for covid-19, three from Mulago National Specialized Hospital and four from Entebbe Grade B Hospital.

The country now has 18 active cases of covid-19 with zero deaths reported so far.
