Kenya has confirmed 24 new cases of covid-19, taking its totals to 435.
A total of 1195 samples were tested with Eastleigh and Kawangware estates of Nairobi recording 11 and seven positive cases while Mombasa recorded five cases- two in Mikindani and Mwembe Tayari while Shimanzi recorded a single case.
Kawangware now has 20 confirmed cases of covid-19, Eastleigh 21 as Mombasa grapples with 129 cases.
Two cases were recorded in Kuria West, Migori county with Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi saying the two have a recent history of travel from Tanzania.
The number of fatalities rose to 22 after a 51-year old succumbed in Mombasa as recoveries rose to 152 after two more patients were discharged.
