Cyclone jobo travelling at a speed of over 240km/h is expected to hit the Kenyan Coast at midnight Monday 26th April.
The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) has issued an alert to Kenyans bordering the coastline to watch out for the imminent landfall of the tropical cyclone Jobo.All mariners & coastal area operatives are hereby cautioned. Even though according to whether experts says the cyclone is weakening as it approaches.
The phenomenon is expected to affect counties of Mombasa, Kwale and Kilifi. Heavy rainfall that may cause flooding will be accompanied by strong wind.
Kenya Ports Authority KPA, has given measures such as doubling of mooring lines, maintaining ships close to the shore, and ensuring the crew is on high alert.
