Baringo senator Gideon Moi has an up-hill task in a feat to garner more votes from his backyard ahead of the 2022 general election, with majority of politicians in Baringo County rooting for Deputy President William Ruto.
After meeting a delegation from Baringo County on Sunday at his home village Sacho, Moi is yet to rally more politicians from the county into his radar, with some doubting if he is fit to go for the presidential seat.
According to Bartabwa MCA Ruben Chepsongol, Baringo senator should in fact root for the deputy president in order to keep his political journey en-route.
“Moi is not fit to be president, he even knows it, but there are some people who seem to push him politically,” Chepsongol Said.
Chepsongol Further opines that One Kenya Alliance which houses Gideon Moi’s KANU is yet to make a stellar choice concerning their flag bearer, which according to him might be their downfall.
“OKA is still wobbly, it might fall anytime soon if they do not work-out their political stand in a feat to battle the Deputy President who has already made his stand concerning his journey of becoming the fifth president of Kenya,” Chepsongol added.
On the other hand, Speaking during a delegation meeting that brought together 3,000 people drawn from all Sub-counties in Baringo at his Sacho home in Baringo Central, Senator Gideon Moi urged county residents and Politicians to down their back-biting tools and support him.
“If I’m to fail let me tumble at the top, but kindly I’m drumming for your support in a feat to be part of the next government,” Moi said.
We owe gratitude to people of Kandui village in Sacho for shaping our lives and providing support system to us. We commit to involve them in every stage of our vision and plan for the nation that we seek to roll out in coming days.
