Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader Raila Odinga on Monday 27th ,2021 outlined his economic revival strategy in a meeting with Mount Kenya governors.
Odinga in hisĀ three-day tour of the Mount Kenya region, met Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui, Nyandarua counterpart Francis Kimemia, Ndeiritu Mureithi of Lakipia and James Nyoro of kiambu.
Raila is seeking to popularise his agenda and vision for the country ahead of next year’s election and Mount Kenya being a key region is in his plan.
The former Prime Minister noted that under his economic plan, assured that his government would sponsor monthly trade promotion meetings which will bring together government officials, ministries, exporters and researchers.

Odinga assured that under his leadership, the government will work to lower punitive taxes to Kenyan small business enterprises.
“During the grand coalition government, the round table with the private sector created a forum for the much needed collaboration with the public sector. This enabled the two sectors to clear critical bottlenecks,” noted Odinga.
