Business mogul Chris Kirubi is dead, his family has confirmed.
The industrialist died aged 80 at his home in Nairobi after a battle with a long illness.

The statement from the family reads:
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher J. Kirubi (1941-2021) who passed away today, Monday the 14th of June, 2021 at 1pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace and courage. He was surrounded by his family.”
His death comes barely seven hours after he wished his follower, via a tweet, a blessed week.
“It doesn’t have to be a tiring Monday. Give yourself a go towards your success plan. Enjoy today and the rest of your week,” he said in a tweet on Monday morning.

Kirubi who owns the of Capital Group Limited has been embroiled in a battle with cancer which he was diagnosed with in 2016.
He is survived by wo children Mary-Ann Musangi and Robert Kirubi.
His body has been ferried to Lee Funeral Home.
