Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi now wants four of his colleague prosecuted over a circulated sex tape that was linked with her.
The legislator says the sex tape portrayed her in bad light.
The legislators in question include Abdihakim Mohamed of Fafi Constituency, Eldas MP Aden Keynan, Kirinyaga Women Representative Wangui Ngirici and her Isiolo counterpart Rehema Jaldesa.
Gedi made the remarks on Thursday after the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Committee which recommended that she be reprimanded for allegedly leaking Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) summons to the four MPs over the video.
“The evidence submitted to the Committee discloses that the Hon. Fatuma Gedi directly used information obtained through or in connection with her office as a Member of Parliament and which was not available in the public domain for the furtherance of a private interest…,” reads part of the rejected report.
“The conduct of the Hon. Fatuma Gedi of leaking the official letter and Memo dated February 21, 2019 by the DCI to the Office of the Clerk reflected adversely on the dignity and integrity of the National Assembly and its Members and was also contrary to the best interests of the National Assembly and its Members”
