The covid-19 pandemic has seen a rise in the number of philanthropists, some new green to the field, taking a resounding maiden bow regardless of how it puns out.

The latest entrant is music juggernaut Stivo Simple Boy alias Master who lit the faces of Kibra residents when he swaggered ‘home’ with a number of goodies for the residents of the informal settlement.

Simple Boy seems to have followed in the footsteps of Tanzania music icon Diamond Platnumz who pleaded to pay rent for 500 families for three months as Tanzania battles the novel virus.

The donations included foodstuffs among them maize floor, rice, sugar, cooking oil among others.

“I pretty much know that countless life circumstances have changed especially in business, as many businesses are down, hence rendering to financial difficulties and life becoming a little bit tough to many of us…On Monday I shall announce the procedure on how these 500 families shall receive house rent,” the Wasafi CEO posted on his social media accounts.

Simple Boy is known for hit songs such as ‘Mihadarati’ and ‘Tuheshimu Ndoa’ which have received massive airplay.
