Two suspects found transporting over 600 sacks of uncustomed sorghum were on Wednesday arrested in Kanyonyo area, Kitui county.

Abdullahi Sheikh Hassan and Dahabo Abdi Ali, were intercepted at Kanyonyo area, Kitui County by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives manning the Garissa-Thika highway.

According to the DCI, the trailer the two were using to transport the illegally imported goods was also impounded.

The suspects are in custody as investigations continue pending arraignment.
