Two suspects were on Tuesday charged with publishing on social media a false advert for selling coronavirus self-testing kits at 3,000 shillings.
Dr. Pranav Pancholi and Sylvia Ndinda both of Avane Cosmetic Dermatology Clinic & Medical Spa at Yaya Centre Nairobi were charged at the Milimani Law Courts after their arrest on Monday.
According to a statement posted on Twitter by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations who arrested the two in collaboration with officers from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board the two suspects were in contravention of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act CAP 253 Laws of Kenya.
The DCI has continued to call on Kenyans to desist from spreading misleading or unverified information hinting at possible legal action against such persons.
