Two people have been confirmed dead after clashes erupted along Kakamega-Nandi county boarder Tabulwo area. The chaos which erupted yesterday night have seen scores injured and rushed to Malaba general hospital.
Security agencies within the boarder says the dispute piting the two families residing along the bodrder started after a disagremment over a piece of land.
The two identifid as Patrick Angasi and Samuel Rono disagreement turned into tribal clashes after livestock belonging to Rono strayed and landed into a farm belonging to Mr Angasi.
Residents from Kataini crossed the border to Igoli sub location in search of the animals a move that was not well welcomed by Igoli residents led by Agasi whose farm was at the centre of the dispute.
Confirming the incident, Nandi police boss Anthony Shimoli confirmef the death of a 25 year old man. The police within the area tried to calm the fight but we’re overwhelmed by the residents forcing them to call for reinforcement from Malava police station.
“Bonface Kiprotich died after being shot on the left side of the chest and right side of the knee” stated Shimoli
