Iran was the most hit country in Wednesday’s Boeing 737-800 crash that left all its occupants dead. Iran had 82 passengers on board, followed by Canada which had 63 three passengers on the ill-fated plane. Ukraine had two passengers and nine crew members on the plane taking its toll to 11 while Sweden had 10 passengers. Afghanistan lot four lives in the crash as Germany and the United Kingdom lost three each.

Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Tehran to Kyiv, operated by Ukraine International Airlines.
The Boeing 737-800 crashed shortly after takeoff on 8 January 2020 from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport.
A total of 176 passengers and crew were killed in the disaster, making it the deadliest aviation disaster in Iran in more than a decade.

The crash was the first fatal aviation accident since the start of the operation of Ukraine International Airlines.
The flight was operated by Ukraine International Airlines, the flag carrier and the largest airline in Ukraine, flying from Iranian capital Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport to Boryspil International Airport in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. Emergency officials confirmed that the plane was carrying 167 passengers and 9 crew members, including 15 children.

Flight 752 was supposed to take off at 05:15 local time, however it was delayed by approximately an hour.
It later took off from Tehran at 06:12 local time and was expected to land in Kiev at 08:00 local time.
