The key suspect in the gruesome murder of slain businesswoman Monica Kimani, Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has finally walked out of the Kamiti Maximum Prison nearly a month after he was granted bail.

Irungu was granted ‘freedom’ after the family finally managed to raise the two million shillings that was set as his cash bail by Justice James Wakiaga.

According to the bail terms that secured his release, Jowie who has been behind bars since his arrest over the murder of Monica Kimani in Nairobi in September 2018 will be required to report to the chief’s office at his parent’s Nakuru on a monthly basis.

Irungu is forbidden by the courts from talking about the ongoing case anywhere including on his social media platforms.
