Police in Nairobi are holding a Chinese national who was arrested on June 11 after he found in possession of an illegal firearm.

Dang Pengfei found in possession of a pistol at Kanyonyo on Mwingi-Garrissa road and consequently arrested by a multi-agency team.

A raid on the suspects house at Kaputei Gardens in Kileleshwa led to the recovery four more firearms.

A police report quoted by Citizen Digital says a loaded M4 assault inside a wardrobe, a loaded CZ pistol in the master bedroom, a loaded Taurus revolver in a case, a Taurus pistol in the case and two boxes of ammunition were recovered.

The search was conducted by a multi-agency team led by Kitui County Criminal Investigation Officer Samuel Kobina.
