Renowned blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has been arrested for allegedly spreading false information over coronavirus.
Police are holding the blogger in Nairobi after he claimed that a top KRA official travelled abroad and failed to quarantine on his return, claims which have been termed to be false.
His arrest comes just two days after a Nairobi court barred another blogger Robert Alai from publishing any information on coronavirus online.
Alai was arraigned for posting false reports on coronavirus deaths and was released on a KES 50,000 cash bail.
Kenya is has so far confirmed twenty five cases of coronavirus infections with the government and the health sector grapples with what is now a growing number of patients.
