Three people died in Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County on Saturday evening while rushing home in accordance with government directive of being home by 7pm.
The three who were on a motorbike met their death after being hit by a vehicle at the Pala trading centre, two died on spot as the last one passed away while being attended to.
Confirming the accident Homa Bay police commander Esther Seroney said that the driver of the vehicle who is unhurt, was arrested at detained at Kendu Bay Police Station as investigation deepens.
Seroney also requested people who witnessed the accident occurence to work with their officers to ensure they come with a probable action on the matter.
“We are investigating the matter to know exactly how the accident occured to enable us take action on this matter”, she stated.
Witness of the accident said the trio were rushing home to beat the curfew timeline.
