The Tax Appeals Tribunal on Wednesday ordered Keroche Breweries to pay a total of KES 9 billion in taxes.
The alcohol firm lost a protracted dispute with Kenya Revenue Authority.
KRA is now set to collect tax of Kshs 9,116,835,985 .00 from Keroche Breweries Limited with regard to products manufactured and marketed by Keroche breweries Limited.

The firm and its owners Tabitha Karanja and her husband Joseph Karanja have been facing a lawsuit since August 2019 in regard to tax fraud committed between January 2015 and June 2019.
The duo however accused KRA of witch-hunt stating that they had fully complied with the tax guidelines keeping hope in the tax tribunal that has now unleashed a hammer now on them.
